Really good doubles. Salt fish and ackee was great. Not really great for dining in, but food more than made up for it

Best soup ever, got the grilled chicken inside, with fresh broth of chicken peas. It’s made with love and I have this almost everyday. Too good, and doubles are fresh and flavourful. I highly recommend

Stopped in again today — the staff was super friendly and welcoming, as always. The regular, chicken and goat doubles are all absolutely delicious! When I first visited, I found the regular doubles a little on the sweeter side, so this time I asked them to add some extra heat — and they didn’t disappoint. Perfect balance of spice and flavor. I’ll definitely be going back soon to try the roti next. A great addition to the Beaches neighbourhood — authentic Caribbean comfort food and great vibes all around!

Had the doubles (no meat) and the jerk chicken sandwich and both were so good! The chicken had a nice spice and smokiness to it and the double was fresh. The staff are super nice, its a family business. Highly recommend if you're in the area

We tried a variety of menu items: the pelau, goat curry with rice and peas, oxtail with mac pie, shrimp roti, and doubles. All of it was so tasty and flavourful. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

Good lord. Seriously impressed. I ordered the channa doubles, chicken roti with paratha and coconut cassava pone and wow. I think the roti was my favourite because it’s nostalgic for me but I was overall very impressed. The bara for the doubles was very pillowy and soft which is not really what I’m used to but it was very good and I love the mixture of savoury, sweet and tangy with a bit of a different flavour profile in each bite. I would have loved more bandhania chutney but when I go in-person I’ll ask for a little more. For those who like spice, you can definitely go hot for your order. I regrettably chose medium for my order but I know for next time and the flavours were bang on.

Island Blend completely exceeded my expectations. I went with the chana doubles, and they were excellent. At only $3.50, it’s an impressive deal for a meal that’s both hearty and satisfying. The serving sizes are solid, the flavors really stand out, and the value is exceptional. The owner was warm and welcoming, which added a nice personal touch to the whole experience. Tucked away in the Beaches, Island Blend is a standout spot and a true hidden treasure, whether you’re actively looking for Caribbean cuisine or just stumble upon it. I would strongly recommend giving them a try.
